Lowering the Lude - any suggestions?
Post by Roystan » Fri Jan 27, 2012 11:35 am
Lowering....
I want to lower my car on a set of 16" that i have. But i don't know where to start.
Can anyone suggest a suspension kit or coilovers that would suit?
I want it to be lowered a decent amount, but to still keep the 4ws without rubbing.... to keep as much comfort as possible.
Any suggestions on make and lowering amount?

Well it depends why you are lowering it. If its just for looks a cheap set of coil overs will do. But if you want it for handling, unfortunately you get what you pay for. I have Bilstien shocks and springs on mine and it's fantastic!
Lowering any car is going to greatly affect comfort, but the results are generally worth it.

I have a set of Tein lowering springs. They handle well and look a lot better than stock with a drop of 30mm, so also keeps good comfort, . It's a cheaper option too as its just springs.

I have tein super streets, fully adjustable, the cars handling is superb. Not sure how much they are now, but I paid £1200 inc. Top mounts 2 years ago
