Prelude Type S or Integra DC5 Type R

Hi All,
I am going to import either a Prelude Type S or Integra Type R (DC5), I just wanted to know if anyone has experience of both and can offer any advice as to which one would suit me best. I have owned 4th gen Preludes, an ATR and a DC5 before, so I know about the DC5. However, the Prelude has always interested me.
The car would be a weekend/fun car and be garaged all the time. On paper the performance looks similar, is that the case on the road? Price wise, because I am going for a fresh import there is only a couple of grand in it so that doesn't really concern me.
Any advice or thoughts welcome.

The sensible choice would be the Type R (but since when has buying a car been about being sensible!)

Keep its value / more demand in future for resale.
Better handling/faster.
Easier parts/availability/upgrades
Con's
Not a day to day car really - quite harsh/loud

ATTS gubbins to go wrong?
Worth the premium over a motegi h22a8 example? Few low mileage ones pop up from time to time.
I do track days occasionally with a friend who imported a DC5 type R with 20k/clock , and we both drove each others on the road and track.
dc5 type R on the road, quite harsh ride, very buzzy, wouldn't want to do 200 miles in that (hard seats), especially if the wife was in there aswell. On the track, all these strengths come out and its a much faster and also more rewarding experience.
The prelude is a bit nicer on the road, but not so much on the track.
Probably doesn't help you much!

Ive driven both on the road but not track. I personally think the Prelude is better to drive on the road. Although it might not be the fastest of the two. There isn't much in it. The prelude really needs to be lowered at least on springs to give confidence on corners and hard braking. Another thing which will be needed for freaking insane driving is ATR brakes in my opinion. These stop the Prelude beautifully. If you can get one with the 200hp H22a or even better h22a8 and the better gear ratios as this really makes them more lively and fun. My experience with the DC5 was the same as Scott on the road. It felt too harsh and is no fun on the bumpy roads around here in Plymouth.

yeah, i can attest that the h22a8 over the h22a5 is much better. The closer ratios and bit of extra power is quite a nice addition.
if you plan to track it, ATR brake mod is a must (I've done trackdays with and without, and always had problems on standard brakes, whether old or refreshed). The LSD is also a noticeable improvement of the DC5 over the non LSD/ATTS ludes.
the lude is definitely a nicer day to day car - this was my friends opinion also.

type s is a nice sporty cruiser, dc5 is a road racer.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.
