each insurance company is different

grouping is pointless, just a very rough guide line

i think vtecs are 17, but the groups are pointless now

If you want to know the ABI recommended vehicle group, it can be found here - http://www.thatcham.org/abigrouprating/ ... p?page=343

But as mentioned, this is only a guide for Insurers and they can adjust the group rating based on their own experience and claims ratios. Some Insurers also gave group ratings to 100 within their quote engines, so an Insurer may say to you "it is a group 78" which has little or no relevance other than in their rating system.
