My own fault really. I took the Lude for its monthly spin. During one mile it started to vibrate. I pulled over to see if I had a flat and was met with clouds of smoke smelling of brake pads from the wheel arch. I drove home very slowly and the alloy was hot as hell as was the tyre and whatever holds the centre cap on fell off. So with my limited knowledge I surmised the brake was locked on.
So as you probably know I am disabled I am stuffed as I am even unable to remove a wheel. I will need my garage to fix this.
My questions are as follows
The garage always picks my car up would he be able to free it up enough to drive it or will it need a suspended tow?
Does this mean my caliper is now shagged?
If this is the case does anyone have an N/S/F Caliper if needed JDM 4thgen?
Thanks Paul
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

I have kleptomania,
But when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

If the caliper has seized then it'll need a strip and rebuild or complete replacement (Whichever is cheaper). It is quite common, but more often on the rears due to the handbrake being engaged so often.
Even if he was able to free it up, as soon as he applied the brakes it would clamp back on again, so at least the front end needs to be lifted to transport it.
