Brake Caliper Part No.??

Post by jjmartin349571 » Fri Sep 25, 2015 9:30 am

Hi folks,

Hoping somebody can help - I need to get a nearside front brake caliper ordered today but the motor factors are asking that I provide a part number... My car is at the garage and it's not likely that I'll be able to get them to check in time, so I've no way of finding the number out. With this in mind is anyone able to check or confirm for me the part number for the front nearside caliper on a 2.2 VTEC engined 4th gen?

For reference the motor factors are asking if it is a Nissin CA1628. The other option the gave was Akebono CA1336 :?

cheers,
Josh

Cheers guys. I've only seen Nissin calipers too, even on my older Honda's, so I was a bit thrown.

Thanks for the Honda part no. Merlin, Lings wasn't working on my mobile so I couldn't get it myself.

Worryingly, running the part number through a few websites has suggested that the manufacturer part number is CA1506... Is anyone able to check what's marked on the actual casting?

Cheers,
Josh

Prelude - 17CL15VN - This is indeed correct from memory, should make it easier for the guys if they open a box and check.

Don't get 17CL-14VN as thats the smaller 262 calipers.

Akebono is another American manufacturer by the looks, so I wouldn't be scared off by the brand name.
Their online epc only lists discs and pads for the lude, no calipers.
