Who smokes in VTEC?

Never really noticed it before but when in vtec especially high up in the rev range I see black/blue smoke behind me. Enough to notice it but not so bad like a diesel.

Looking at my air fuel ratios I'm in the 12.5s on full wot. Then in vtec it dips to low 12 and as low as 11.8. That's boost richness. Didn't realize vtec runs so rich.

You think you've got a problem.. Did you see mines smoke on the track..

Really i thought everyone knew all Honda's run really rich in vtec mine has a puff of smoke in vtec but its hard to tell i am too busy looking at the horizon

I have always burned oil especially when i use VTEC so thats where it goes obviously. But i have never noticed it. Maybe it was me being paranoid since removing the charger.
It pulls fine and nice to see where the Air fuel ratios should be as mine were all over the place on the emanage when in boost.

P28 and chromidge will solve that soon when parts arrive this week.

My old ek9 would drop to the high 10s when in vtec. I think that was more to do with the piggyback ecu on there though...

Mine certainly smokes in vtec, I can just see it in rear view mirror. But I'm on 310,000kms, so I guess I can expect it.
