worrying knock from passenger rear

I keep hearing a loud clunk from the rear passenger side every so often and ive had a look to see if theres any imperfections or anything like that but cant see anything out of the ordinary to be honest it sounds spring related but not entirely sure

Possible 'Shock Knock'.

Does it happen when going over bumps?

Yes but not all the time buddy its quite a loud cluncking noise

It will be the droplink ,i can almost guarantee it
Mine was same,clunking away,when you check it it appears fine but when i changed the droplink it was absolutely knackered

it was the upper control arm ball joints on mine. really loud nasty knocking, and on one side it resulted in quite a bit of play in the wheel if i rocked it top to bottom. worth checking as the arms are really easy to remove and a garage should only charge a few quid for pressing the balljoints out and new ones in.

There is abit of play in the wheel and u can hear a rumbling noise whwn ur driving I can here it now with the 17s on it but never heard anything when 15 inch oem wheels were on I took wheel off and spun the disk and theres a point in every rotation where it catches the brakepad

if it is a constant drone/rumble then it could also be the wheel bearing. my knock was the worst on rough patches of road, cause it was causing the wheel to rock and thus making the balljoint knock. wasnt too bad if you just hit a speedbump straight on.

If you grab the wheel and really rock it back and forth you should be able to make it knock if its the balljoint.

The brake pad thing is a different issue entirely i would hazard. possibly a warped rotor or something.

Have you had the rear hub off at any time?
