FI help- supercharger
Post by MaccaIRL » Mon May 04, 2015 8:42 pm
Looking some info on S/Cs lol
The jackson racing one i cant find anywhere and turns out they stopped producing these a good while ago.
Anyone have any info on a "build your own" kit?
Id rather have a supercharger on a switch than a turbo tbh

Lots of info in my build thread to read:
http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/profile ... -t224.html
A couple of posts down shows some other examples.
The Jackson Racing kits come up every now and then in the states, just got to keep an eye out.

Would you recommend it? Its going to be used as a daily car so still need reliability out of it haha

We can 100% confirm that the engine in nuc's lude has suffered absolutely no reliability failures in the last several years, as a result of the SC being fitted.

HEY!
Oh wait...no...that's right...even I have to laugh at it!
Unfortunately, it is not fitted along with several other parts as I'm taking it beyond the standard kit. The basic 6psi JRSC (Jackson racing supercharger) will be reliable all day long as long as you tune it right with upgraded injectors and tuning equipment, don't use the fuel management regulator and electronics that come with the kit as it has been tested to perform really badly, leaning out dangerously in many areas of driving conditions.
Mine is setup for 9psi currently and I have a Crank Pulley to get to around 12psi. All pushing the realms of safety but I have the added benefit of a chargecooler (if it all works out!)...and a spare sleeved block, pistons, etc to build if I blow my current one (which lets me honest is gonna be a bit tired having sat so long now!
).
Hope that helps. Only chap on here running his JRSC is Scott - aka @RattyMcClelland, currently on 6psi on a higher compression Type S engine making good numbers but is also undergoing plans for water/meth injection to add a 9psi pulley safer.
Cheers,
Rob

Hmmmm
Ive seen a few integras over here running SCs and they are lethal, but seems that turboing is gonna be easier and safer :/
My tuner didnt mention upgrading injectors for my turbo build, he said stock everything will be fine for 300 whp
