The clock in mine is counting forward quickly.
Is this a common fault? Any pointers on fixing it, or is it one of those mysterious things that no one ever fixes, and requires a replacement?
I took it out, couldn't see anything wrong on the pcb.

i had this last year and i changed the clock unit over but it didnt fix it so i had to swap out the whole instrument cluster. Not had a problem since. I just used a 2nd hand part.
If you have a 4g import you may want to change both set of dials over to ukdm ones so you have speedo in mph and no limiter and vtec in first.

Yep, I had this.
I just took the instrument binnacle cover out (the bit with the clock adjuster knob) unplugged the knob and sprayed electrical contact cleaner over the connectors and inside the adjuster while I twiddled it back and forth, then let it all dry and re-assembled.
It's been fine since.

thats what i did as well wurly but it didnt work for me but its definately the thing to try first
