Battery/alternator wiring

Post by jasonxr2racer » Tue Apr 07, 2015 9:27 pm

Just wondering is there 2 live wires that go to the battery?

Theres a black wire on my loom that looks like it should be attached to the battery possibly for the Alternator feed?

Ran my car up for the first time yesterday and the battery didnt charge so wondering if its that wire that needs attaching to battery live?

Cheers

There should be, so sounds like that's your issue. Pop a multimeter on it and see what it's pumping out.

Continuity test it to earth first, with the car dead...
