Annoying Squeak!

Post by Gayno » Fri Apr 18, 2014 12:07 am

Today, my car has developed a rather annoying squeak!

It's on driver's side front, and I get it when turning the steering wheel, and also when going over bumps.

Any ideas?!?!

Could be the upper inner wishbone bushes have perished. My mums old vw campervan needs these done. sounds like birds in a nest when going over speedbumps.

Well this winter I've replaced all drop links (front and rear) and and track rod ends so they're all good.

What's strange is that it hasn't developed over time getting louder, it's just started today!!

Gayno, check on FB on Ludegeneration page. I have posted a video and see if it's the same squeak as yours.

Yeah I think so, sounds very similar anyway!

Did yours do it going over bumps as well? Can be replicated by bouncing the wing when parked up.

It has stopped for some reason, but it does occasionally come up when going over speed bumps.. :?

How strange.

Am going to investigate tomorrow, see if I can narrow it down a bit.
