Yes, it's in the wrong place. That pipe channels air from the from the air intake to the engine, not the other way around. It needs to be coming off the PCV valve where air goes from the engine to the intake manifold. HOWEVER, some oil does still escape through that pipe and into the intake pipe, so it's not a complete waste of time. It would be ideal to have one on each.bennyboy wrote:Same coilovers as I've just put on mine Alex, therefore, I approve!![]()
By the way, I do believe you may have your catch can in the wrong place mate.
Mine is from the pcv valve (top right corner of the rocker cover) Sorry, not trying to body lemonade on your fireworks and it wont do any harm where it is, but it won't catch as much oil as it could either
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Got a couple pics of the relocated oil can, "just" cable tie to the firewall doesn't work so well with cruise control...
Also turns out I have a leaky washer, anyone got a spare kicking about?

I removed the CC actuator on mine and put the catch can on its mount point. It might be possible to make a bracket though that could be used on this mount so that you can have the CC and the catch can on the car?A1ex wrote:Got a couple pics of the relocated oil can, "just" cable tie to the firewall doesn't work so well with cruise control...

Seriously considering selling this at the moment so I can get something RWD
With the PAW engine rebuild 10k ago and the extra grunt I think it should be worth circa £4,000... What do you guys think, or are there any takers?
