Great to see it all back together, another cracking job from Rich by the looks of things. Was really surprised just how bad the gearbox damage was as well. :o

i knew that i had a problem with my old gearbox/rear mount because a day or so after i took the car to jpoc racewars i noticed a clunking noise, i had the car on a ramp and found the inlet maifold support to block bracket resting on the steering rack sandwiched between the atts unit. i also noticed 1 bolt missing and the other 2 were loose but i couldnt get to them propperly so had to leave them.
so along with the now known mount issue, i also had oil leaks and smoke so it was the 3 items that made me decide on the rebuild idea in the first place. then james put his old engine up for sale and i thankfully took him up on the offer to my shock when rich found the damage to my old block.

Back behind the wheel.

Went over to @performanceautoworks today and I have my lude back. What a difference in engines. So smooth and bloody quick. So along with the new engine and gearbox and my original atts unit fitted, I also have new uniroyal rainsport 3 tyres. It's driving like a new car. So much more responsive than the old engine. Can't wait to drive the old girl properly to see what the combination of new items brings.

so a big thanks to rich, simon and the other chap who i never got his name, a big thanks. great team.

i am going to reinstal the manifold heat shield but i am going to have to make a few spacer brackets to keep it up away from the manifold as the heat resistant paint is burning off. so im having to tackle the paint job again, so hopefuly the extra distance will help prolong its life.

and to celebrate my birthday i cleaned her and took some current pictures with my cars new livery.
