Sorry to ask the obvious, but I assume you tried fitting a new H3 bulb and that made no difference? Seems a lot of work rebuilding the pre-made bits!

No I have not.indigolemon wrote:Sorry to ask the obvious, but I assume you tried fitting a new H3 bulb and that made no difference? Seems a lot of work rebuilding the pre-made bits!
It wasn't just the bulb contacts, it was the bulb holder as well as how the bulb holder is also permanently attached to the corroded positive terminal of the bulb too.
So makes no difference at all.
In fact might have made it worse if I failed to re-attach the new bulb to the positive wire - eeeek!
I will test out new AMBER fogs tonight and see how they light up

Yeah, that's the part I wondered about - this is an H3:

Seems to include the bits giving you the trouble?

U mean it comes WITH the bulb holder too?!!!!
Damn!
An I nearly forked out on a £20 soldering set too!

Yes
U right, that would have fixed it - it was only the dodgy bulb connection.
Still its done - I learn, I sweat, I grief, I am embarased now - lol

Only thing with new bulb looks like will have to make new spade connector...still EASIER than what I did
