Engine bay tidyup and revised Cold Air intake

SO the paint work in the engine bad was thin, dirty and rusty and in some places back to OEM primer due to thinneess.
Got to love manufactured using 1k lacquer on the insides of the car.

Before

Bilt Hamber Kerrosol and alot of scrotch padding later then sanding back and priming

Alot of masking later

5 laters of base and 2 layers of pearl then 2 layers of 2k clear...Job done

Revised intake system. Now the velocity stack filter is behid the bumper and has its own cold air feed and the supercharger still sounds great. Also tidying up the wiring and made it less visable
Image

PCV intake downstream of where i plan to put the water/meth injection

Water meth injection next.

Using the Aquamist HFS3 system. Cost me just over £600.

MOT on wednesday so i need to get it "passed" on the cat test.
Aquamist should be fitted by the end of the week.
Then it can be remapped in it and cool the supercharger.

I definitely envy those skills of yours Scott, she looks amazing! 8)

I like the silicone intake as well. What I opted for on the project :)

Its actually 2 alloy metal pipes with 2 45degree silicone elbows and silicone tubing over the metal to reduce heatsoak. ;)

Splendid machine, can I ask if you widened the weird shaped hole for you intake to pass through? and how? beside beating mine to death and causing damage I don't seem to be able to fit mine through.....

Too many motorway miles when the long term fuel trims on my Greddy tune run dangerously lean at cruising speeds.

Not worth the risk and effort in trying to keep the air fuel ratios rich enough to reduce combustion temps.

Plus may van has unVTEC'd and is turboed and just PIMP.
