What about for track use only I'd love some r888 but they would set me back 600 which is more than I paid for the car

I definately think the Bridgestone re002 are
worth a try for track. Really impressed with
them fast road driving & I got 4x195/50 15''
for £195 delivered!

Iain: Tyre tester seems to be my recent second job yes - turning into an expensive month for our cars! No dollar for buying my usual treats. :(

Keeping with the theme, anyone tried any of these two, they look like they have good reviews:

- Michelin Pilot Sport 2's (BMW factory tyre) - not great for the money personally
- Bridgestone RE50A's run flats - have a couple on my Mazda and a couple on the front of the BMW - pretty decent tyre
- Bridgestone RE40A's - Had a couple in the past - again a great tyre

Others I've tried:

- Goodyear Eagle F1's - great tyre
Taste is a strange thing. On a different car (Renaultsport) I really didn't like the Eagle F1's. Fantastic grip for braking or sideways but not enough feel and let go a little snappily.

The Michelin Pilot Exalto 2's had less grip but were beautifully progressive though. Maybe my favourites. :D

AD08's. I run them on the Regamasters. Best tyre I've ever owned, hands down.
I'll be running them on the 'lude too.
They're 17x7 +45 with 225/45/17

I have a set of Goodyear Eagle's on the Porka and tbh, they are really great tyres. Big sidewalls on that car so they feel a little bit squashy, but tbh so would anything and most would be very squashy I expect. Price though.

I have Michelin <something I forget> on the UKDM at the moment. They're also good, no complaints really. Again :o price though so I keep wondering what to go for when they need replacing.
I keep swaying towards Toyo's, but I'm not sure...

Toyo T1R are good as well? They seem to be reasonably priced!

Yes Nitin, they are good and really grippy but they are quite a soft compound so they wear out pretty fast.
