Just had the Green Party knocking at the door.
Always good to set them off by mentioning nuclear energy and that it is far more efficient than any fossil fuel, plus asking them to name any major accidents other than the three biggies or Windscale and also not related to weaponised materials. No answer for that, so they decided to move on to my second specialist topic, students. It got quite heated when I said it was ridiculous to abolish fees and that we're privileged to have a world-class education system for very little cost to the student.
I don't think they'll be back. A good morning all around.

I have had the joy of a similar situation with a police officer. Telling me my windscreen would explode in my face because it had a chip in it, at a time when I was working full time in the glass industry...
just thinking about it again is giving me an erection.
The guy that lives on the other side of the street is the Labour candidate, could see him curtain twitching whilst I stood there with the opposition
he doesn't like me either after I said I wasn't going to put a Labour sign up in the garden or window.
It's all too much for me.

Hah, reminds me of a couple of years back when I got into an argument with a traffic officer after mistakenly driving the wrong way into a confusing junction in Oxford
(car behind did the same and the cops were right behind!). My license was at the DVLA having my address updated and he started harking on about it being an offence not to produce your license, so I pointed out how ridiculous that was given that it needed updating and that you have 14 days to supply it to a police station anyway.
He gave up after a few minutes when he realized I wasn't drunk and wouldn't let his silly license argument hold, before agreeing that some of Oxford's roads must have been designed by morons.
