I have already taken out the old prison window as it wouldn't open, obviously :? :?
I want an openable window between the cab and the box so I can let the cats in and out you see... Cant put in a cat flap but I can put in a human operated one..

Had to remove the steel control rods for the emergency escape hatches as they wetre hanging down into the frame. This involved Mr Angle grinder and a fire extinguisher on hand

:D yeah too right.

Lucky everything lines up nicely. I had nothing to do with putting the lino on the walls. I would have fudged it a little had it been off but he was a stickler it seems.

I am left with about 8mm each side. There is a channel in the frame all the way round so I am going to use that to brace the frame against the walls. I'll slip a piece of 5mm steel strip in there and then bolt it through the wall to anothe piece on the other side. That should offer more than enough support to open it wide on the inside.

If you have it opening the right way, you could smack the driver nicely every time!

only if I took a chop saw to the cab :o

No it will only open inward due to the gap being quite small between the two. Big enough for cats though..

Just got a pice of plate steel from the scrappy. £5

Looks good - neat.
 I can't picture how it relates to the cab etc though (just can't visualise the surroundings) :?
