My old X-1/9 used to do that, because the diodes had burnt out. It was sort of a bit random; too about three attempts to get them both either up or down, without it going all wee willie winky.NafemanNathan wrote:I do like the winking!
The girls used to like it though!
Meant to add; great little 'deck you have there.
I dunno why older Hondas look right on aftermarket wheels, whereas later ones tend to look wrong. I guess they just have to be 'right' for the car & its period & not hellagash ones which ruin everything.

Painted bumpers
Post by Crazy_C » Thu Jun 14, 2012 7:27 pm
I started on fixing some of the rough parts on the 'deck, and thought I'd start with the bumpers. Fixed them up, and tried some paint that was kicking around the shop, and loved the look of it, so I painted both the bumpers.
Just got to fix the rust on the sides now and paint them the same colour, and repaint all the black plastic satin black to freshen it all up.
Getting there slowly and steadily

2 busted knucked, 1 probably broken thumb on myself, and a broken hand on another person, and the use of every curse word in the English language, I have now got a new CV joint on the passenger side of Marvin!!
3 bloody ball joints to pop off to get the bloody hub out so I could get the spline of the CV to go through, had to take the driveshaft out just to try and get the CV to clip onto there too! Though all said and done, it's great to drive a car that doesn't click at me when I'm turning
Got the driver's side one to do at some point, though that doesn't need doing, but I bought 3 CV joints as Nathan can verify, finding the bloody things is a nightmare for the Aerodeck!

Yeah I think I'll be getting my Honda mechanic neighbour to be doing mine when the time comes
When he tackled my driver's side the first time, he had it all apart and ready to fit the replacement within 10 to 15 minutes! Shame the bloody thing I had supplied to me was the wrong bloody size

Oh, taking it apart is easy enough, but just wait till you try refitting it!!! Taking it apart took about 20 minutes, but reassembly took a few hours, just because it wouldn't have it at all, but that was all due to the bloody clip like I told you about!
