most aftermarket rims start with 73.1 bore I thought, and then you get right spigot ring for your car..

As said, pretty much most are 73.1, with the exception of some Italian rims with 74/75mm.

But as has also been said there are some variations out there. I wouldn't worry too much, you'll be able to get them to fit, just measure up when you buy them.

As for spacing, if you need 5mm, either standard spacers and just put the wheel on RIGHT - we have tapered wheel nuts, so as long as the nuts are done up in the correct way, it shouldn't be off. Spigot rings are just helpers in my eyes. My Mazda's 18's ran without spigot rings for months (before I put some on albeit) and were absolutely fine.

However, if its a concern then just buy some hubcentric spacers, you can get some fairly thin ones now on ebay.

Exactly. I ran my OZ's (now bristol_bb4's) for years without spigot rings. Never had a problem.

Yep, and big brake kits you see on a lot of cars usually eat up the centre bore on hubs and you see some beefy cars on track with them with no problems.

Thanks for all the info everyone, I'm going to pick these wheels up tonight so I'll do my measuring and order some spigot rings and spray paint tomorrow

Right, I got those wheels last night, the offset is 40. W1ggz wheels are offset 45 and his fit nicely, people said I may need 5mm spacers to fill out the arches to be the same as his, but from what I've just read, I think my lower offset number actually means my wheels will stick out a further 5mm over W1ggz's? Please can someone confirm/deny my thinking?

correct yours will stick out more, but should be ok

W1ggz are 40 as well bud. We were under the impression the ones you were getting were 45

So yours should be exactly the same as W1ggz's

(Assuming they're the same width.)

hahaha I should have re-read this whole thread first then! ..but, ideal! W1ggz's fit great

I forgot to check the width but I imagine they are the same.

These wheels are super light as well, I'm not sure they're quite as light as my old Tecnocast Corsia's, but they definitely aren't far off.

The lips are a bit rough though so some Chapstick and white paint should sort them out nicely.
