Disagree - so long as the tyres have been kept fully inflated all this time and it's been kept indoors (so they'll have been protected from UV light) there's every chance they'll be perfectly fine.

tyres only have a shelf life of 5 yrs fron new
if you ran thius at any speed the chances of a blow out are quite high .

we have people come down to our tyre place and say can you put the spare on its brand new on a 2001 yr car its not brand new it 12 yrs old ... if its the only thing conecting you to the road then it needs to be of good order .....
