Okay Mr Cuthbert, we think we see your problem. (Not for the squeamish)

We're looking for a new one today, as this looks beyond all feasible repair.
More news when I hear from Jason, fingers crossed please, gents. ;)

How the hell did you manage to get one of those so quickly?!
Almost impossible to find one on the shelf in the UK!

To be honest Iain, I don't know. I've been running around like a blue-arsed fly today, and Jason's been out and about so I haven't spoken to him yet. I'm skiving off early now, and going to pop down to his garage for a quick gander. ;)

Tbf, last time I bought a new front mount, I did find one in stock in a motor factors in Welwyn Garden City... And it was only about 25quid.

(that was about 6 years ago though)

FYI guys, the mount was RM200 which is near as dammit GBP36.00.

This is it, just after Jason had filled it with the Silkaflex goo.

That photo was taken yesterday, and Jason will be fitting it today. He'll be bringing the car round to my place this evening and I'll report back on the 'feel' after I've taken her out for a blast tomorrow. Fingers crossed. ;)

Sit-rep regarding the mount. Rather disappointed to tell you that it hasn't worked out how I wanted. The selecting a gear is very nice, smooth no clunks and jerks but the vibrations coming into the cabin are really bloody annoying. It's bad enough without the air-con on, but of course, I need it on most of time so consequently, it's like being in a spin dryer. It seems as though I messed up on this one and have already floated the idea of Jason getting me another mount. I'll be seeing him later today as I'm bunking off early and let him see/feel/watch as my dashboard vibrates itself to a blur when at idle.
Damn, I'm so annoyed with myself.

Have all the mounts been slackened off and retightened in the sequence as shown in the workshop manual?

Mate, to be totally honest, I don't know. I couldn't get to see Jason yesterday as my day went all pear shaped. He knows of my disappointment but the only time I can see him is on Monday.
