Well in the great words of Dr Frankenstein " IT'S ALIVE" I was able to get the lude started after a year and a half. I have also found the leak.

Does anyone know what size the water pipe is from the Cylinder head to the firewall?

Well I think i know what's happened here.
Just as a temp fix I've cut back the pipe and no leak she even got a quick drive up the street and back. My new neighbours will absolutely hate me now hahaha.
Oh well they will get some peace and quiet for a bit whilst I rebuild her.

well even the wee man is egging me on to try and get the lude started. Landed very lucky one of my clients does shot blasting and spraying/powder coating. They have just bought a unit at the bottom of the road so will be looking to have any of that done with them.

hopefully in the next coming months we will see progression on the old girl.

Hi sol-lude its good to hear your still working on the lude... :)
I can see from the rear number plate the car is yet another lude that was sold by Makay Trading - they must have sold quite a few import ludes - yours would be number 4 if you got it back on the road. There are 3 x BB4's in Edinburgh that came from them as well.

Ive done the temp fix on the coolant hose but eventually had to buy a replacement from USA - its gates part number 18999 that you are looking for-or you can find some reinforced hose - id is 16mm which is a very tight fit ;)

cheers Nick - ooo a wee bit more on the history of my ludes origins excellent love the little things you find out :)
yeah excellent Nick - I will be re-doing all the hoses some along with the colour scheme then some will just have to be standard replacements.
Think I will have landed super lucky, my uncle has just landed a mechanics job in Honda Westend in Dundee so he said to give him a shout for OEM parts woop

So I've been out since early doors and landed myself EL dials including the loom and this lovely centre arm rest with working cup holder all for a sweet little 50 squid.

Anyone know how the air refiner button works? Haha
