Re: Merlin's 4G Time Attack Lude - Doors!
It must be light from a spot lamp in the ceiling. We did not notice any serious imperfections.

Re: Merlin's 4G Time Attack Lude - Doors!
I have put off buying a set of Insane Shafts until next year as it saves a bit of cash for this year. But I knackered another CV joint on my last outing, so new ones are needed.
CV joints and the shitebags that sell them
I bought a pair from EuroCarParts but then noticed that the item description did not match the specs for Lude, so I had to get a refund. Then bought a pair of Comline CV joints from ebay, but later that afternoon got a message to say they were out of stock and that they had refunded me. I paid for both with my paypal so when it's refunded it sits in your paypal for 7 days waiting to clear. £110 stuck in paypal that I cannot spend for 7 days
Anyway 3rd Gen Steve got me some so all is good in the end. Shaftec CV joints. I couldn't easily find a non-ABS set.

You can knock the abs rings off easily. My insane shafts had them too. Now they are pretty rings hanging on the wall.
I can not tell you how the shafts are and if they are worth it, but it's puts my mind at ease for sure.
Glad you are happy with the doors, here they keep haunting me as suddenly the shipping company want even more money.
Don't worry it's not your concern, I will sort this.. But f-ing mofos.....

Re: Merlin's 4G Time Attack Lude
I just need something that can take a pounding. It is not my power that minces CV joints but the hard driving through hitting kerbs and other rough surfaces. The non-competition sprint circuit I go on is particularly rough. A new set of OEM style CV joint will see me through this year.gb-lude wrote:I can not tell you how the shafts are and if they are worth it, but it's puts my mind at ease for sure.
Not that I have noticed. There are separate part numbers for ABS and non-ABS CV joints but when you search for the non-ABS version (even with that exact part number) only ABS versions appearnjord wrote:Do the abs n none abs cost differently?
