Found this pic by 6TWO1 on the Impact14 blog

In other news. MOT Today. Failed.
Fails:
Steering rack gaitor split
Drop link dust covers split.
Insufficient handbrake.
Blow from Downpipe.
First 3 are easy fixes so thats no problem.
Finding a downpipe for this car could be troublesome, hence my post in Engine section to see if I can find another compatable one.
Going to try and weld it for now as a temporary fix.

Small update
MOT repairs:
Steering rack gaitor replaced.
Drop link dust covers replaced.
Rear brake pads removed cleaned up and replaced, handbrake cable adjusted.
Took the Manifold heatshield off and it's blowing from the gasket at the cylinder head.
So a new manifold gasket is on order.
Also removed the Manifold and downpipe from my tracklude for a comparison between the two.

Another update.
Excuse the crappy phone pics
So I removed the manifold and downpipe
placed it next to a 4th gen prelude one for comparison.
TOP: Accord
BOTTOM: Prelude

Manifold seems to be identical, so does the downpipe except for the extra length
So a Afermarket prelude manifold and downpipe should fit with a custom flexi section.
We then measured the inner diameters of the pipes.
the Prelude downpipe was 2"

But the Accord was only 1.75"

and there was a second inner piece of pipe that was 1.5"

No wonder it feels restricted!
We welded up the hole in the downpipe, which was by the bit of heatsheild by the lambda sensor, fitted a new manifold gasket, then put it back together.

It now has a fresh MOT.
So I will soon be on the hunt for a new manifold and downpipe.
Thinking of a solid fabs custom jobbie.
