Decided that I wasn't quite visible width wise to oncoming traffic, so I fitted a couple of fog lamps to my rear arches and wow, what a difference it makes!!!

I ride it every day to and from work, taking on the A2 and M2 daily, as well as central Maidstone. Even rode it when we had the snow!

I like quads, but they're getting too common place these days for my liking, plus you still have to pay for parking. I get to park for free on a trike :D

Still haven't ridden a quad on the road I'd like to get a nice one soon tho. Don't feel safe on a bike only tried once when I was 17 on my mates scooter and put it though his back garden fence. Was very funny looking back

Well there's the old saying of there's only 2 types of bikers; those who have had an accident, and those who haven't had an accident yet

Quads are fun, especially when you learn a few tricks on them too :D hehe

Looking awesome now, good to see it's being used regularly too.

Fogs are sweet, the more to help the drivers who "don't see" motorbikes the better

I'm the 3rd type of biker - I've only ridden twice and on both occasions i fell off!!!!

Cheers guys. The angular arches will go with the overall final look of the trike. I'm getting rid of the curves and making it a lot sharper edged.

JohnLee, heh, yea, I always forget about that type of biker

Extra Storage and Chain Mount

Post by Crazy_C » Sat Mar 30, 2013 7:28 pm

Had a bit of a play today and fitted some extra storage in the form of old ammo boxes.

I also built and fitted a hook on the rear axle to hold my chain. I did use one of the original shock mount bolts on the other side, but the nut worked its way loose and ended up dragging the chain along the ground. So fabricated this to stop that happening again.

£4 paint job

Post by Crazy_C » Mon May 06, 2013 1:01 am

Well I got a bit bored today, and plus I'm going to the May Day run in Hastings tomorrow, so thought I'd actually tidy up the look of the trike a bit, so I figured I'd go with my usual choice of colour, matt black!

The paint is from Poundland, and I'll admit, I was surprised by how well it came out!! It took 4 cans to paint it, but it definitely had a better finish than Halfords paint ever has had in the past.

I was going to paint the engine as well, but that could really use a jet wash before painting it though, so I'll do that ready for JapFest.
