What if I put that on retention now, could I sell it than? Or to put it on retention car need to be moted, taxed and insured?

But I would need to put that 125 piunds on top of the sale price and including DVLS transfering charges that will be 400 pound to get that on the car...

Dvla are right bartenders!

What if your plate was on a car and it gets written off? That car will never be good enough to be on road let alone have a mot, does that mean it will go away with the car? They should know that after the crash the owner would love to take it back and put it on their next vehicle?

That car P8VTC belonged to me.

Was written off by VW driver.

I bought it back from insurance, broke it for parts and that time it was declared sorn.

Then Cebul decided to buy it off me.

So now he can't ever get the plate back?

Did you put the plate on retention when you bought it back?

Did the V5 get updated into cebul's name or is it still in your name?

I did not put that on retention.
V5 is updated on my name
