thanks everyone :) it's been tough and it has been leaving me quite skint atm but im not going to give up on her, gone this far!!
The speedo has now stopped working so il be checking that tomorrow, if it needs replacing, does anyone know where i can get the cable from?

Does need to be re wrapped at some point, started to peel off in places :( but il sort that out when i get the rust done :)

Thats without wax too  its really hard to tell if the polish has dried enough to buff out cos you cant see it! but yeah does scrub up nice. there is however a few oil prints here and there and i have no idea how to get them out, its like its been lacquered on :S

Next month (or when i can save up enough money) I'm going to get bigger injectors then get it mapped and set up properly. I'l get the cam pulleys looked at too set back as ones moved a bit im sure.

Does anyone know what size injectors they have standard ? I was thinking of getting 450-550cc injectors for it lol :P

Pretty sure the standard size and a recommended upgrade is mentioned in that Honda tuning book I've borrowed from the library. Will re-check tonight and report back if you like?

IMHO you can use anything you like. But remap is a "must have" then

Thought so. I looked at this for sale a few times and had to stop myself.

Seriously good looking car. Whatever problems you have with it, it'll be worth it!

Clutch went yesterday :( almost certain it was the release bearing that went which is kind of my fault as i did know about this but after everything else thats happened its not a great time to go!
Going to have to do the clutch on my drive tomorrow and order a new one online :( no part suppliers i called even have a part number !
Il take pics of the strip down, also going to attempt the cam shaft seals as the inlet ones leaking, and also paint the rover cover too lol, going to be very busy!

Started on the clutch today, got the majority of the stuff off. Need to get a torqx bit for one of the starter motor bolts and a lever bar for the lower arm lol.
Found that 'someone' has snapped the start motor mount:
Image

Il take a pic of the piece that came off tomorrow but thats another thing i have to find and get -.- i know its a bit pikey and bodgejob like but im going to chemical meal it for now

When i took the battery off too, i found loads of random wires just unconnected :S

Image

I'm guessing a couple would be for the ABS system but i dont know what the others could be :/
My new clutch kit should be turning up tomorrow so il be carrying on with it after work... in the dark :L

So, as well as doing this, i had the rocker cover off for painting :D I was doing this in-between the clutch (when it started raining haha) This is what it currently looks like, just needs lacquering now then it'll all be done. Not a bad effort for my first attempt, not great but it's ok. I used Honda Polar White as Halfords had run out of gloss white  I think tbh its a nicer colour, matches the car a bit better too! :D
Image

I got most of the paint off with my Dremel, such a handy tool! all the harder to get too bits i got the sand paper out and got it, it was such a think layer of paint i didnt take long to get it it all off! This was halfway through cleaning lol, spraying 4 in 1 degreaser which sprayed and foamed literally all over my table!

Image

The hardest part was getting the bits of dust to stay off the paint :L il put a pic up a bit later when its all lacquered and the Honda badge sanded down :D

Thats about it for the minute, il do another update tomorrow when hopefully It all gets sorted with the help of jjmartin349571 :D

Valve cover's looking good mate :)

Yeah, that looks like a lot of ALB relate plugs to me. At least that's something to be expected ;-) Do you have the ALB light on?

cheers, here's the almost finished product

need to grind the paint off the honda badge a bit more but il wait for the paint to dry properly now, i slipped when doing it and sanded a bit of the paint off below the writing which isn't good! :( That and a couple of finger prints you can see on the bottom right im quite happy with it, will do it again sometime but that can wait lol.

Yeah thought so, some of the plugs have covers on? im guessing its just an unused wire from the wire loom?
Yeah lol the brake lights on all the time, and so is the brake bulb light even though i changed them all :S its not working properly when you have the lights on and you press the brake it doesnt really change in brightness much, il look at the earth's on it all :)
