if its the EL dials its usually 2 capacitors on the board which need replacing.

you can swap the speedo needle unit out on its own - if it just not lighting up the the fix pushki mentions is good but if the needle starts sticking then you might need to swap it for a working unit (if you can find one)

I attempted this first with new capacitors and it didn't work. Possibly due to my soldering skills, or lack thereof.

The ghetto fix is easy and it works. I've had no problems with my dials in the 2½ years since the fix.

when doing the capacitors you also need to check the track for damage as where the capacitors leak they can make a bit of a mess of the board
