This is true. However if you keep the inside of the rim in the same position as OEM (or around about) by running wider rims with a lower offset, this will achieve a wider track without putting an additional strain on all the suspension components. Like you said though, spacers is a bit ghetto and it's best to simply achieve this with the correct offset.lewd lude lover wrote:using wheel spacers to achieve the same result is a bit ghetto because you are putting more strain on wheel bearings and suspension parts without 'really' increasing the track from a performance point of view. imho

i thought 5th gen ones were a little longer aswell?!
