I thought it might have been a test mile or an ex press car. Left hand drive but With a UK number plate hmmmwurlycorner wrote:Missed it all before the P45 so didn't see the Bentley bit. However it wouldn't surprise me to see them being able to trash even a new Bentley - I reckon TG get lent the test mules to do that kind of stuff in (features like the car football they've done before I mean).
The manufacturers are gonna destroy these vehicles anyway (they don't even let them be broken for spares anymore) so it'd be no loss giving them to TG to do a big feature and get lots of interesting exposure for free.
There's a place near me that destroys Ford test mules and a local body shop said they used to be able to get panels for dirt cheap from them, but that stopped a few years ago after the retail network complained about the loss in business. They said they'd go in there and see Jag's with holes deliberately smashed in the block and rocker covers running, so the engine got trashed beyond re-use.
How true some/all of that is I don't know, but you can definitely see what they do to the test mules when they're done with them because they have some parked outside sometimes and it's not pretty!
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Just saw the episode now.
First bit with the Pagani was awesome. Epic sounds and videos. Then it came with Bentely bit and it was ok, then it came to the guest bit and I nearly fell asleep. And the P45, although it was nice funny at first but then got boring too.
Still the best program on TV, after some cooking shows I watch.

i thought it was just a typical tg episode, some good, some bad, but mostly Jeremy. as an entertainment show its ok but as a car show i think the reality has gone out of the window.

Another thing that annoyed me is when the pagani is going round the track and clarkson say " meerrrr hear those waste gates fluttering"
What!?!?
What!?!?

i disagree with the pointless waste of money when we are in a bad down turn and those muppets spend god knows how much on dropping a beetle from a helicopter .5 mile whilst a porch turbo (yes ) does a 1/4 mile somewhere in africa or where-ever stopped watching it after that

Disagree completely with you there hondansxr.
How your licence fee is spent is completely different to how your taxes are spent.
Economic downturn or not, people are paying their licence fees and they are being spent on entertaining.
You always have the option not to pay your licence fee and thus not to watch TV.
Would you rather they bought some die cast models and dropped those from the edge of a sofa to reflect the situation?

Quite agree Donald.
And to add to that, it actually makes a lot of money for the beeb, as it's sold around the world for a big profit!

TG has 350 million viewers worldwide, it has to be the UKs biggest TV export. Some episodes are good, some are average. But its still better than some jobby the beeb pump out like countryfile, Eastenders, antiques roadshow and homes under the hammer.
