yeah lol the previous owner had it serviced at a bmw dealership and the trainee forgot to put oil in it before taking it for a test drive :? the end result was 5k of reciepts paid by bmw

hmm i dont think the light is coming on with the dash, ill have to have a look  from reading about on the net its either a wheel sensor or abs sensor, but the abs works so i dont think it could be that?

i havent actually checked the simple things like fuses yet coming to think of it!

as for a remap - these guys http://www.ecu-remapping-service.com/vehiclelist/BMW/

a map only takes it to 165hp / 330nm which is basically the same figures as yours standard  but 250 on a remap is alot cheaper than a few grand on a newer model

Oh I see, so new engine. Even better. I'd check when it was done and source the engine code to the year of production, you might have a post facelift engine anyway? :?

Well if no light, then yes fuse, then dash bulb, then start looking at others. Ours had an intermittant traction control problems for a short while and the ABS light tended to come on too. It sorted itself out in the end - must have been a dirty sensor or something.

That place looks good, but it's a franchise system like most of them. Mark at V Dub Resto (while your probably not impressed with the mismatched red) is also a dealer of DNA tuning franchise:- http://www.dnatuning.com/index.php

They are set maps just like the place you are looking at. Shall I ask how much he does them, see if it's cheaper than the place you linked? I've been meaning to ask for my new Mazda 6. 8)

165/330 is not to be sniffed at though bud. Still some sideways fun to be had. I've had my missus car a little sideways on quiet evenings (when she's not in the car!).

Ah, just looked at there site and there set prices are £295 for the beamers, unless Mark doesn't take as much cut? The gains are the same though - probably near identical maps.

No Mazda 2.5 petrol listed though. :(

1 of my customers took his 07 petrol BMW to www.avontuning.co.uk for remap was around 300 and he said it goes so much better now. His is only a 2.0 might be worth giving them a ring as well

Yep, did that + on the Fidanza adaptor I have on the top setting you also need to trim the centre console a smidge. But even with that the 'notchy' feeling seems to be a gearbox / linkage issue. I'll sort it with the new gearbox / clutch install and hopefully (fingers crossed) a newly acquired Forbidden Motorsports shifter.

Button not plugged in! Ha! Well at least it was one of those easy fixes! Think yourself lucky.
I'm speaking to Mark on the weekend on some website stuff so I'll see what he can offer - bit bummed they don't list my Mazda 6 2.5 MZR engine. I bet you could get some more horses out of her.

M10x1.5 is the info you're after ;)

That's Honda size, Ludes aren't different to say Civics or something in this respect.

Or the opposite if sitting in direct sunlight
