Originally it was only going to be the rears for sale. Threads are fine as you will see from the below picture. I have free'd them off and the adjusters will easily screw up and down the threads by hand. But since tackling the fronts, i will now need to use the spring seat and locking rings from the rears so that i have use of the fronts.LewisH wrote:Got pictures of these dude? Im interested in how they need "refurbing" and why etc. If its only adjuster cups missing and some threads that need seeing too im very interested.
Lewis -

They would have needed a refurb due to 1 of the rears knocking. I don't know what causes this, but i assume its something internal. Possibly fluid has leaked out, i really don't know.

Not a problem Lewis.
Time i strip them of the adjusters etc, i probably wouldn't want to sell them to some1. It really wouldn't make financial sense to even try and get them refurbed and new parts to build them back up and what not. No harm in keeping them for spares, you never know, they might come in handy 1 day.

Have to say, fair play on running yours that low, it does look immense though.
On another note, i take it my shocks will only be fluid run and not fluid/nitrogen seeing as there is no external valve for putting nitrogen in.
You know what, i might split them and refill with some shock oil and see if that does anything for the knocking. No harm in trying tbh.

I couldn't garauntee what the problem is. I genuinely don't know what causes them to knock. But seeing as they are only run on fluid, i can only assume thats the problem.
I did find something on google though. Guy had said his Tein HA's were knocking so he stripped them, replaced a top seal, filled with £10 shock fluid, and job was a good'un.
