No it should store any codes from the EML. Do the paperclip test and have a look. Might not be anything associated with the rad change though.

have a look around the ecu itself and check all connectors are seated properly etc

clean the filter gauze on the vtec solenoid or check your oil level

As the Rattybot above says, check oil level first and if that is good cleack the vtec solenoid

sorry to have jinxed your lude - as you know i was planning on cleaning my egr valve and i mentioned this to you the other day - funny that you got a code 21 the very next day - maybe im psyhchic
ive had a few tries to get the egr nuts undone and given up - @indigolemon has the tools needed to do this job so im hoping to get a loan of them sometime soon.
pushkis put up the part number for the gasket and i think its only £3 or £4 from Honda. If your going to get the gasket then grab me one as well
i have heard of people making their own gaskets for this from cereal packets
dunno if this is recommended.....

I'd get a new gasket, and some fine sandpaper to clean the surfaces. Also get an old toothbrush and some brake/carb cleaner. The night before the operation, get some penetrating oil on the bolts.

My method on the EGR nuts are a small 6 sided socket, wobble extension to get a good angle and a dirty great big 750mm long breaker bar. They undo like they were chocolate in an oven.
