I have been lucky this year with the weather, hardly a frost let alone snow :D

Most of the major bits for the build are here now and plans are in place for me to get an LSD and final drive before it's put back together. Pics of some tasty parts will follow in the next few days 8-)

Yeah I have. Provided I can stick to my financial road map it's going to http://chizfab.com/ in October for a custom weld in cage. I know that is months away but with a build like this you have got to plan that jobby! Their price list for cages:

Roll cages
Basic 6 point with single rear diagonal - £850 (£950 with 2" main hoop)
Door bars, any style - £200
Rear diagonal 'x' - £100
Harness bars - £45
Roof diagonal £100 or roof 'x' - £180
Rear strut brace - £60 to £100
Front strut to A pillar triangulation - from £90
Pillar gusseting - £120 per pillar (2 x gussets)

My Mocal thermostatic oil cooler set up arrives today

Shiny things

Post by Merlin » Tue Jan 15, 2013 9:08 pm

Here are some pics of the more interesting bits I have got recently to sling on the pile. I'm getting some pics of them now while they are still shiny :P

Competition Clutch Stage 5 clutch plate

I didn't think the ceramic pad would be so thin :scaredtoss:

The pressure plate

The 2nd hand Fidanza 8lb flywheel. The marks on the face are from the machine that refsurfaced it.

Mocal 16 row oil cooler. I got some nice braided hoses to go with it.

Mocal thermostatic oil sandwich plate

The loop off for the interior heater hose with the bulk head fitting from t7design (still needs jubilee clips fitted)

Nice clutch! Do you know what size fitting are on the cooler plate? Also are you not running a heater matrix now?
Hurry up and give me some inspiration ;)

Looking good! 8-)
