Wheel Fitment for 5gen 2.0i???

Post by snike77 » Tue Jan 08, 2013 6:00 pm

Hi

I am new to the site, hopefully someone can help me,

I have a 1998 "S" reg Prelude 2.0i 16v (not VTEC or vti or 4ws etc)

It has 4 stud wheels on it currently and i am looking at buying some new wheels and i wondered what fitment (PCD / offset etc) i will need

From what i have gathered i think i need 4 x 114 as per the 4gen preludes?

I am not sure about this though, as i am no mechanic by any means lol

I have owned my lude for 2 years now, and i love it, the best car ive ever owned by a mile, i now want to start some nice subtle mods to keep it looking good

Thanks for reading and thanks for any help that can be given

Thanks for the help,

The wheels im looking at are 4 x 114 ET55 6.5j, so i think they'll fit ok?

i wanted to go bigger on the wheels but the ones im going for are genuine honda wheels but only 15's which is what are on the car currently,

I was thinking of lowering the car, about 40mm just springs though

Do you think this would be ok, or would i run into any problems on doing this

Many thanks

They'll fit fine, no problems with lowering. Just might look a bit small!

Just found this thread.

The 2.0i Prelude is deffo 4x114.3 and not 4x100 right? Seen on the web someone said 4x100. I've bought wheels in the past for soooo many jap cars can i hell remember what the PCD is.

4x114.3 mate
I found it a bit of a pain to find wheels second hand for mine, Hyundai use the same fitment, I have 17inch inovits on mine now (they were cheap with good tyres)
I have mine lowered 40mm aswell, apex springs think I gave £120 for them ther ok the car looks nice, I have mud flaps on mine which scrape against every speed bump and when you corner sharply ^_^
I have the motegi 16 inch original ones off my car, they need a bit of a tidy up and some tyres but if I ever get round to take some pictures and try and sell them il msg u if ur interested

I have some 16" Motegi wheels myself that need a refurb. I have 17" tsw Evo wheels on mine at the moment but was considering a change.
