So it's not about the extra gear then... It's about having a box that runs in the opposite direction?...
So as it stands at the minute (stood in front of the bay looking in) an H-series crankshaft runs in the opposite direction to a K-series?
... Yet the gearboxes are mounted on opposite sides also, so if the above statement is true, by simply rotating the H motor, the crankshaft will then be rotating the same as the K, therefore allowing you to "strap" a K series garbox on

So you need a K-series gearbox, gearbox adapter, custom mounts, custom driveshafts (probably), custom linkage (or linkage/gearstick conversion), custom exhaust, ITBs and a good tune, job done right? End of?

yep a k series gearbox find out if the mounts will all swap around, check the track of the civic to see if the driveshafts will fit. Use the top half of the civic manifold and fab it back check to see if the k gearbox cables are anything like the h cables (K gearbox isnt like the b gearboxes as it uses cables like the H not hydraulic) use the itb's that are in a box under my bed with the aem ecu and a tune end of
as opposed to have a h22 head fab'd up to run flipped roughly 2k including delivery and taxes get the pistons fab'd to work with the fab'd cams and custom exhaust and itb's and a tune.

With regards to fitting a K-box, the majority of your money is going to go on the adapter plate. The rest is almost something you can do/figure out yourself as you go. Would probably work out the same money-wise for whichever scenario.
... But which would be more reliable?... My money would be on the 6-speed box conversion

Shame I'm no where near ready for something like this, I'd love to do the hard graft and then get it made up at my work
