Looking at that, I'd say you have the Recaro seats as they look the same as mine, so all good :D

Also looks like you have a later model dash as well as the fuel / temp dials are the way round they were on the '88 and '89 models (pointing in towards the car pic), but the earlier models had them pointing away from the car pic.

I'm gonna guess that yours was a crossover year between 87 and 88, hence the B20A and the dials, and the fuel injection.

Awesome, Recaros finally  :D

Thinking about it that's probably right - a quick check with the DVLA and I found out the car was registered in December '87, so right at the end of the year :)

Is it geeky that I knew the year of the dash just by the fuel and temp gauges? You'll get there soon!!

Yea, they look almost identical apart from being darker than mine, and I've got the Recaros. Check on the seat bed thing though, as some Recaro interiors were able to do that, not properly though, but purely if they had the non-Recaro runners on them allowing them to travel further forwards. If yours is a crossover year, it may well have that feature.

Went up to the compound today to show the new car to my girlfriend, and of course take some more pics. I've been hard at work removing some of the bumper stickers, they seem to be petrified on though so had to make do for the photos  The paint was looking nice though, especially after the light rinse the rain gave the car :)

Anyway, the bit I'm sure you're all interested in:

In the boot there's still the full tool kit, a first aid pack from the 80's and a bottle of 80's looking Honda brand screen wash :D The original owners pack is present, along with the service history. This car was really well looked after by it's previous owners, I don't think I'm going to have to do much to get it looking pristine :) Once it's home I'll get the boot carpet out and stick it through the washing machine, and stick the carpet mats in the wash too. Even the mats are the originals, tailored fit with Honda written on them :D The electrics all seem to be working fine, to power roof still functions properly as do the windows and central locking. Only thing that isn't working is the power radio mast - the motor turns but makes a clicking as if it doesn't engage on the mast. Does anyone know if there's an easy fix for these?

I have a little teaser to put up on here too ;)

Sorry about the quality but I think Photobucket has downsized it, it was 60mb and in HD originally

Looking good man. Looks weird to me without pop up lights but its unusual as not many had the fixed lights really.

Nice to have all the old bits in there too :D

I didn't realise the saloons had pop up headlights, although to be fair I've seen barely any of them... Online I've seen a few EXi's and about 1 GSi  I do like the pop up lights, maybe I need to get an Aerodeck too and swap front ends

Yeah it's cool to have all the old stuff, it's like going back in time getting into that car  Can't wait to get it out on the road, it feels like it'll really shift. Can't wait to burn up some chavs at the traffic lights in something twice the age of their Citroens and Pugs

Just realised you posted this! Haha yeah the supplies inside don't look so fresh :? Logo'd mud flaps are a proper blast from the past aren't they

Update on the car - I drove it the thirty miles from work to my mate's garage today. That was an experience :? the engine pulls great but there's a lot of vibration at speed, the techs at work reckon it may be bad tyres and unbalanced wheels, so I'll have to look into that. First thing on the agenda is MOT though - it's in their yard overnight and being tested tomorrow :scaredtoss: Wish me luck!
