Well, picked up the car and the new arch looks good. The paintwork is very nice, and they have taken lots of pics throughout the process, which I'll put up as soon as I get them.
Only had the car back for the night....next day I set off for PAW (again...) anyway, picked up the car yesterday, complete with Fidanza flywheel and ATR LSD
As a knock on effect of the ATR LSD, my variable power steering is now gone, so the wheel is weighted at low speed. Was unsure of whether I would get on with it, but after 100 or so miles I can say I REALLY like it, car feels more positive. OK, you have to use a bit more effort when parking, but's not a big deal and anyway that's what 4WS is for
I have to drive it sensibly for a bit
to allow the new flywheel and slightly older clutch faces to bed in, but already you can tell the difference, very rev happy and the extra grip is quite apparent.
Shall report back when I've had a chance to check it out 'properly'

some good progress bud
very nice parts fitted but i bet fixing the rusty arch was the best bit
once you know the rust is there you cant help but look at it every time you get in or out of the car.

Good stuff. I never liked the variable powersteering on the 4th gens and prefer the response on the 5th gen.
Did you manage to cure that knock problem with the driveshafts?

When I went from standard flywheel & open diff to fidanza & LSD it was a fair old change. Do you find that the car is more prone to wheel hop on a slightly more aggressive launch?
