Going by that table my 215/45r17s should be 2.6 bar which means 38psi :shock: i have allways had them at 30 max :?

isn't 38 a bit high :?:

I have 215/40/17

and I have always put in 32 psi

so all seems abit high, unlesss thats what I should be putting in

What's the max pressure these tyres can take? If its say 50PSI then going from 32 to 38 will be going from 64% 76% of max value, which is a pretty big jump. Ratty is right the vehicle weight needs to be taken into consideration (hence some manuals will give a different value depending on the number of people in the car)

Bit rough but

Lines 1, 2 and 3 are to do with pressure under load and tyre condition.
The second to last line is about making sure everything is right/secure before driving away.
The last line says something along the lines of using the correct pressure otherwise fatal accidents can occur.
