For low noise use Evergreen tyres, for winter performance there is no doubt Pirelli SottoZero tyres are the best...

Well I went with the RainExperts and they've been on my Civic for about a month now.

I'm very impressed so far (especially with all the wet weather lately)! They do feel a bit squishy/soft sidewalls, but now I'm used to that it's fine. Grip is about the best I've ever driven on in the wet. They feel like a very soft compound at the moment so I'll have to see if they harden up over time as people seem to get a lot of miles out of them. The best thing about them is knowing there is still a lot of grip available even when the road is totally soaked - they're very predictable in the wet which is something I've never really felt with the Toyo T1R's.

I thought I'd play silly buggers as I left the gym car park the other day, instead of doing a three point turn I just hoofed it and turned the wheel. My jaw dropped when they just would not let go, even in the soaking wet, over lots of mushed up leaves on the ground. In the Prelude with its current part worn T1R's, I would have definitely had the back end out doing exactly the same thing.

Saying that I'm not sure I'd want them on the Prelude as they are a bit too soft in the sidewall, giving little road feedback.

Fuel economy has gone up slightly, and road noise is down slightly too. One very happy customer here (especially for £33 a corner, delivered)! :D

You also get the EL (Extra Load) version, which has stiffer sidewalls. Which is nice.

everyone seems to like the uniroyal rainexpert or rainsports
ive run 3 full sets of toyos on my 16"s and liked them in the dry but not as good in the wet
i currently run conti winter sports in 2055/55/16 and theyre very excellent in wet and very good in the dry imo just slightly soft in the sidewall when really pushing into the corners and i guess similar to the uniroyal unless like lemon says you get the xl load ones

Uniroyal are owned by Continental. I get the impression Continental do some really good tyres and some really crap ones too... I ran Premium Contact 2's on the front for a while and they were absolute tosh.
