Definitely dodgy that one - if it had been reported to ebay before ending, I'd have been surprised if they hadn't removed the listing?

Interesting the statement that it cannot go back on the road under any circumstances... Indicates the seller must know there's something ilegal about it rather than the straight forward story as told!

(And yep, that process about what the DVLA would do if you applied for a V5, is correct - I did it with a van that was abandoned in my work car park by a supplier that went bust. The receivers didn't bother replying.)

I dont think its dodgy

I sold abandoned fiesta XR2 in one of my dads garages, owner was long gone

interior was mint, but rusty shell

went to a banger racer, so never went back on the road

Notwithstanding the sellers comments, this effectively could be a car stolen last week, the plates then removed, ect; with a gentleman's sausage and bull story regarding its history.

It's dubious that you would specify that an abandoned car can not go back on the roads, as getting a new V5 doc is quite straight forward.
