Suspension Polybush Kits
Chassis/Brakes/Steering/Wheels discussion

It all depends on the garage and the condition of the bushes being removed Nitin, it's not a simple case of ££ for x bush and £££ for y bush.
Your best bet is to go in to a garage and tell them what you want replace, and how much will it cost.

get a master kit from the states. then get front and back ARB bushes and new OEM rear toe arm bushes (as these are not in the master kit
) and get a grand out your pocket for labour.
its a two day turn around if you know what your doing. two full exhausting days.
otherwise i would advise getting the car on blocks, take all the suspension parts off.
get a blowtorch and burn out all the rubber and get a hacksaw on the outer bush housings.
do all of them or do none. the cost and or time is in the dis/assembly of the car. thats a day pretty much right there.

Took me quite a few evenings and weekends to do mine. Also replaced the steering rack and did alot of de-rusting. Camber kit fitted at the same time.
I did the front end in May 2010 and pulled my finger out and did the rear end in September. Car was off the road

You forget Confused rebuilt this car 4 uears ago, so all being well the bolt's shouldn't be too bad!Merlin wrote:Untill you try and dismantle itGayno wrote:dismantling it isn't a problem. Some of the bolts holding the arms to the sub frame on my 4G were pretty tough to get off, big extension bars, angle grinders etc... Best to drop the whole rear of the car as one and try and get the bolts undone while its sitting on the floor its easier and most probably safer.

if i was to get a master kit from the states am i looking at removing the whole suspension set up and rear sub frame for this? it will be the biggest job ive attempted on any car in the past but i do have full use of a garage with all the tools and so far i havent been beaten on jobs i have done, if anyone would be so kind as to point me to a link with a list of what parts need to be removed would be great.

Think of it this way. £60 hour labour 8 hours a day x 2. And of course it wont go smoothly and something will go wrong/need replacing.
Plus a geo/tacking afterwards.
Im still not convinced full polybush is much different to good condition OEM bushes.
There are more things in the chain that make a bigger difference.
