Marlin how do the hawk pads perform from cold? The ferodo ds2500's I tryed are perfect from cold and track in a stock 5g but think a little more maybe needed if more power n track tyres.

Does anyone have any experience on ferodo 3000 pads ?
236bhp and 170ft/lb stock

Depends on the track, temperature on the day, the tyres you use, how you drive, and the cooling down procedure you follow. I almost get a year out of my brakes (pads and discs) and thats taking the calipers apart 2 or 3 times a year for maintenance. If you dont keep on top of them the sliders/pads will get stuck and destroy your disc and pads as well as crap braking.

Here is what my discs look like after a year (typically 6-8 track days), heat cracked to fook. Imagine what would have happened if they were drilled discs? :scaredtoss:

The Hawk HP+ are good from cold. Until recently I used them on my road Lude as well.

For daily/fast road the EBC redstuffs are good but iv noticed some minor brake fade on seriously hard braking you would expect on track approaching a hairpin from 140.
Im going to try the Hawks next, but i dont do track days.

Ferrodo DS2500

I have done a track day with these and were awesome - highly recommended
I had very little brake fade and they were always on point when i braked
(of course this will depend on the rest of the braking system (i.e. condition of your calipers, fluid discs etc)

They work really well on the road and when they are cold too

They do dust alot though, ive noticed my wheels get covered with dust very quickly with these pads
