:?

If I was worried about you reading it I wouldn't have left it there or posted it all. Next time I'll be sure to notify you in advance of any reply so you don't go offline, that way you can read it immediately. Remember this is a message board, not IM or text.

Easily the funniest retort I've read this month. Bravo on not formulating any worthwhile response to someone challenging your conduct.

It's a bit tragic how those on here with friends often go unquestioned, yet others who maybe are not the most intelligent (or grammatically correct, petty) are pulled up regularly.

I expect some sort of reprisal for this, I almost hope for a challenge on justification at best, although I fear it will mostly be 'explained' with a "Oh I was only messing about/being sarcastic" post.

Initially my post that was aimed at you, but maybe not in an obvious enough light hearted way, seems to have blown up a bit. I retract my singular targeting and direct it to the forum as a whole.

Being within certain criteria or cliques doesn't make you right or give way to manners. There's being helpful and abruptly advising, then there's just being a gentleman's sausage.

Going by this smiley alone and nothing else you've just said, I believe you have infact read me all wrong Gorgon. I never actually set out to belittle people, but I will admit I do have a habit of taking the mick out of people IF I don't see real reason why they'd take it to heart. I got the impression matey boy in question saw the funny side :? My apologies to him if he did not.

With regards to cliques, I don't think we have any. We just have members that are on here more than others and therefore know each other better, obviously. Some have a simular sense of humour, some don't, but as a whole everyone gets on... I thought. And you cannot deny we are a welcoming bunch ;-)

But seriously, txt spk is just being plain lazy. It's not like I accused him of being dyslexic, illiterate or uneducated. I never mentioned his typos... I myself fall to that a lot. And even then, I felt I advised matey boy to use whole words in a light hearted manor, not to actually offend him. It'd be fair enough for him to come to a forum not knowing not everyone copes well with part-words, so I simply advised.

Not sure whether you've read too much into this, or I just simply haven't enough :?

... Or you're just having me on

And that's what I do. It's part of my sense of humour I'm afraid ;-)

Fair enough I probably did read a little too much into this, and miss your humour. I'll admit that.

Yes you are a welcoming bunch, no doubt. But sometimes I feel that welcoming side is quickly forgotten for those that don't integrate with the community and are here just for answers. I can see both sides to that, but for the most part I'm sure you can see that posts asking for help made by let's call them 'long time' members seem to get a more comprehensive degree of help when compared to you're average sub-100 post member. Doesn't seem right to me, for such a knowing and friendly community.

I still stand by my main points and think they're applicable though. Even if that makes me a drama queen

I can't actually agree to that. I do believe everyone is treated as an equal on this forum. I've never met such a bunch of over eager helpers who generally go out of the way to help others, whether it's a bit of research or simply finding a part on ebay (My speciality I like to think ;-) ).

I honestly don't think it needs to be discussed any further... Unless you want me to chance my sense of humour, which although I can understand, I don't think I can do anything about I'm afraid

That's just how I see it Nafe. If only we all had POV guns à la Hitchhikers'.

Up to you if you want to risk it  think it's settled and we can agree to disagree though. ;)
