Nitin, have a look at C-pillar braces? Would look fancy and would be ideal height.

I've already seen that one but that means cutting some bits of the trim away and I don't fancy doing that.

to be honest nitin i wouldn't want to put my name to something as (in my opinion) dangerous as 1 of those. i could make something similar out of a more substantial material but the cost would be more like £200.
by the way the cost of the sparco 1 is more like £250
