After much consideration i finally decided to take my lude to another garage for its MOT.
The garage where i had taken it to for the last 11 MOTs had been gving me a bit of BS the last couple of years and some large repair bills
So it was a pleasant change to deal with a garage who dont muck you about - MOT took 30 mins and you could hang around and watch it being done ;) Many thanks to 3rdgensteve who recommend them and also turned up had a chat with the mechanic and went and got them bacon rolls to keep them sweet 8-)

I had a few things to get done at the last minute:

Replace Rad and cooling fan
Replace cracked manifold and downpipe
Replace split steering rack gaiter
Replace blown sidemarker bulb
Replace and rewire bodged indicator bulb and holder

The only concern was the leak at every join from cat back on the exhaust. The mechanic asked if i had done this work myself :? ....and i had to admit that was all my own work - however it did help with the emissions test
So MOT for another year and no advisories :D

Will get some pics up of the new DC Sports manifold when i get a chance.

Ive also got two front wings in Milano Red and an undented passenger door and a set of jdm black backed 1 piece headlights to fit. All these parts will be fitted early next year and i plan to do some more work on the exterior of the car. Im also looking at buying a 2.5" stainless steel cat back and maybe get someone else to fit it

Thanks Phil - yeah its good to get an mot with no advisories - ive spent a fair bit of dosh this year on the suspension, brakes and engine. Still got a bit of work to do on the brakes as i want them perfect if thats possible :? and also got to fix the leaky exhaust - id like to get that done this year and then start saving for bodywork next year. :)

It's going to be weird... I never think of you as having a Milano red lude

True - i dont know what it will be like when its all back to red - its been black at the front since i joined the forums 3 or 4 years ago. Ive grown quite fond of the stealth black look at the front buit im sure its the right thing to do. After thats all done i will have run out of things to do to the lude and im not sure how im going to cope with that either :?

Yes your all right i forgot about a few things such as passenger side driveshaft , possibly a new clutch and the continuing battle with the dreaded rust :x
Heres a pic of the dc manifold (no rust) :D
Image

when i fitted this i noticed a large stamp into the block thats says No.1 94. This is just below where the manifold sits - i wonder what it means :?
