Red Honda brake calipers on Mk4 - any details?

Post by Dobbs » Fri Oct 19, 2012 8:41 pm

Hi Guys,

While at my local scrappy today I spotted that there's a UK Mk4 (not a VTEC) with what look like dark red front brake calipers with 'Honda' in white letters down the side - they look like genuine Honda parts, not just something someone's done for show.

Just wondered if anyone's see these before or has any info on them. Are they a cosmetic addition or an upgraded Honda part (or both) and would they fit a VTEC?

Any info would be good as I'm tempted to see what they want for them 8-)

Dobbs.

Hi, not quite - the lettering was in the same location, but straight, not curved.

Damm, knew I should have got my mobile phone from the car and grabbed a few photos...

The decals are on the bay man, quite a common thing to do :) You need to check them to see if they are single or twin pot to be sure if they're worth having.

Did mine on the Accord, it was one of the first things I did to the car. Everyone knows red brakes make you stop faster

The vinyl on my brake decals was different to the vinyl on the DOHC VTEC decals I applied to the bonnet recently, the vinyl on the brakes seemed to be tougher and had a sort of fibre weave in it? :?
