4 wheel laser alignment

Post by BMCC » Thu Oct 04, 2012 3:51 pm

I'll need to get this done and soon. I've phoned a few garages in Glasgow to see if they do it and have experience of 4WS cars. So far not good. So what is the ins and outs of this? I have the pin thanks to Merlin. Where does the pin go exactly? What can be adjusted: Toe? Camber? Castor?

Cheers,

BMCC

On a 4WS lude a few things can be adjusted:
Front - Toe
Rear - Toe and camber

I went to a garage in Glasgow. They looked at the locking pin with horror put the car on the ramp and then 'tried' to put the gauges on. 5 mins of fookin about led to them saying 'the car is too low we can't get the gauges on!'

Looks like this is going to be more difficult than I first thought :(

Last place I went to to see about an alignment... had to explain 4WS because they kept going on about 4WD and how the rear wheels don't steer
