Thanks Merlin - I get alot of positive comments about the sound it makes :D

I desperately need to run more camber on the car though, as I'm losing alot
of time to others on the turn-in to quicker corners :x

Rich has mentioned re-locating some bolt holes in the front suspension but it
doesn't sound like a diy job.

Could you stifen up the front? An upgraded ARB? Better tyres? I dont think I have any problems with turn in :?

How much negative camber are you running at the moment? Somewhere between -1 to -1.5 degrees?

Everything is as it should be - arbs, spring rates, r888's, slight toe out on geo
- think it's me just wanting MORE!

Front camber is 1.25 negative - think I need 2.5ish

Would increasing camber do that though? With the increased camber your initially having less contact with the road, its only when the weight of the car is shifted over during the turn does the whole tyre then get contact. Running extreme camber could be very interesting in the wet, you might not turn in at all

I dont want to be cheeky but could it be a drivng style issue? Just that bit too fast going into the corner? Is there a professional tutor that you could get time with? He would know the deal after being out with you.

i agree, sometime 20mins with a trackday tutor can make a hell of a difference, and sometimes they will do their first 20mins for free!! i had some free time with a tutor at Anglesey and it was worth it :)

My friend who owns the Elise I drove has won two Caterham championships & he gave me some guidance.

When I went back out in the Prelude on a clear track, I calmed things down a bit & the car felt alot better balanced.

Maybe I should get my H22 fitted in an Elise!

No disrespect to your mate but propper instruction will do wonders. Everyone makes use of tution. Rich from PAW has used the same guy as me (Hamish Smart) for tution. There is a well know guy round your way, Malcolm Edeson, who seems to be good. Search MaxxUK for his YouTube channel ;)

Also, a friend who's an auto electrician has got me all the cable & connectors to
relocate the battery to the boot for £10 !

Roll-on Spring!
